  • In Ireland, during the summer months, we have a lot of festivals on throughout the whole country, ranging from traditional music to race meetings, and even bachelor and match making events. They are all very good fun, and we find it very easy to work in the festival environment.

  • Festivals

Festivals start off more or less in May, and run straight through until October, there are one or sometimes two festivals on each week during the summer. Sometimes they go on for five days or so, and we tend to stay overnight usually three to four nights at a festival. When we travel away we usually go away for four nights, the supervisor brings the team of students to the event, we stay in budget accommodation or we rent a house for the week. The supervisor is responsible for buying the food for the team, so all students are very well looked after while they are away, and it's a real team bonding experience.

  • City slickers

City slickers students that don't want to go away during the summer, for one reason or another, or are too young to travel, can work as much as they like in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Galway, Waterford, and Donegal. We do a lot of work in the cities over the summer period. All the cites tend to be very busy over the summer, so if you live in one of these cities maybe it would suit you better to work in the city you are from, if you don't want to travel.

  • Overseas Students

Overseas Students: The last few years we have had a lot of overseas students, tending to pick this kind of job for a couple of reasons. Some students like to practice their english, with this job you get to meet and talk to a lot of people each day.

They also like the idea of traveling and working around Ireland during the summer, going to all the festivals, as it is a cheap way to see the country, enjoy the music and the fun while working at the same time.
